Things, surroundings, language – cases for the human. Friction with the substance of home, with the act of dwelling. Basking in warm, safe definitions and surface meanings. Vanishing, wilting, dimming, fading, withering, silencing, cooling, fade.

When imagination peels back the layers of context, the sleeping potential of every object wakes up. Passive becomes active – an ordinary thing becomes a tool. Therefore, no object is silent. Their functions do not cancel them out. Nothing is transparent. There are only the sleeping phantoms of our daily acts. Warmth and revolt sleep side by side.

Despite Fading Away is an exhibition about lonely choices – and the responsibility for the tools we use to build social bonds. It looks through the ordinary like an intimate lens. Through it, I try to show how mild symbols and objects turn into weapons, creating a violent reality of things. This range spans from melancholy to resistance. I return to drawing, to its simple lines, to home. Here, even the darkest aspects feel warm and safe.

My selection serves as a tool to negotiate how we participate together, but also as a pure game with imagination.
