Me & someone else

A 1:1 scale positive of my left leg, cast in unpatinated bronze. Its structure is disrupted: another foot grows from beneath the first, creating an image of a bizarre mutation. The depiction of a double foot goes beyond pure physicality. It is a sculptural record of the effort of a shared path and closeness. I ask about the cost of relationships and how responsibility deforms our own foundation. The perceived weight and the presence of “someone else” I understand as an ancestral layer that separates me from directly feeling the ground, affecting my balance.
